UPDATE!!!!! FEMALE CHOCOLATE LAB HAS BEEN RESCUED!!!!!
After multiple months and countless emails from many citizens of Greenville, the female chocolate lab has been rescued!!!! Her first sighting was back around the beginning of July and this past Wednesday she was finally caught. She has now been adopted, and is living with her new family out of harms way. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who had emailed, called, or was feeding her along the way. As we all suspected she is pregnant and about ready to have her puppies. We are all hoping that loving homes will be found for each one of them. If anyone is interested in them please email us at lab45331@gmail.com. We will continue to do updates with pictures of her and her puppies for everyone to see. She now has one family but she also has countless others that love her. A special thank you to the Darke County Commissioners, Darke County Animal Shelter, and the Greenville Police Dept. for all the time and effort they all put into her rescue, it is greatly appreciated!!
Thank you again to everyone who has been involved with her!! Her new family says she is adjusting well and learning fast what it means to be loved. Her estimated age is from nine months to a year old and with time and patience she will learn to trust again. Winter is fast approaching and our goal was to rescue her before it came.
With this wonderful news we can all now rest assured she is safe in a loving home.

The rescue of the chocolate lab is the best news I've heard this week! I'm so glad she was rescued before winter & before her puppies were born. Thank you for the update, and thank you everyone for not giving up on her!

ReplyDeleteI am so happy to be a part of her journey to her new home. Late Wednesday afternoon I decided to take my own dog outside and there I found her sitting on my porch. I called the police who stated that they had received numerous calls about the dog over a significant period of time and that she was hard to catch. They also asked if possible to try to keep her there so they could try to rescue her. I got a treat for the dog in the hopes she would stay at my home until the police came and to my surprise she did stay. The cops pulled up and the dog went right over to the cop car and jumped right in. Wow...Amazing!! I am so happy for her and her unborn pups! I hope she has an amazing life!
