The Gathering at Garst 2012

The Gathering at Garst is returning to the Garst Museum grounds in Greenville, Ohio on July 28 and 29. It is the mission of The Gathering at Garst to promote awareness and appreciation of events and people who made unique contributions to the culture of Darke County and to celebrate its heritage in a family-oriented and educational atmosphere. This year’s theme is “Remembering the War of 1812.”

The Gathering at Garst: A Garden of Antiques and Art, held outside in the beautiful park-like setting behind the Garst Museum, will again be a quality, juried show that features vendors in the following categories; artists, antique vendors, skilled historical craftsmen, primitive folk- artists, garden exhibitors, farmers market, specialty, and food vendors. In partnership with the Darke County Park District, this year’s Gathering will feature a living history encampment that represents the time period from the French and Indian War through the Civil War with an emphasis on The War of 1812.

Public admission to The Gathering at Garst is free. Regular admission prices to tour the museum apply. All proceeds will benefit the Garst Museum.

Event hours will be from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturday, July 28 and from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 29.
