10 DONORS IN RUNNING FOR FORD FOCUS

CBC INVITES TOP 10 FINALISTS TO WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT EVENT

DAYTON, Ohio – Community Blood Center (CBC) is notifying the Top 10 Finalists in the “iFocus on Saving Lives” summer blood drive campaign to win a 2012 Ford Focus. A computer randomly chose 10 names from all who registered to donate blood at a CBC branch or mobile blood drive from May 29 through Sept. 1.

The finalists must agree to the contest rules and attend the winner announcement event 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at the downtown Dayton CBC. At the event finalists will each select a sealed envelope. One envelope will contain the “golden ticket” signifying the winner of the 2012 Ford Focus. The “iFocus on Saving Lives” Ford Focus giveaway campaign is sponsored by Dave Knapp Ford Lincoln in Greenville and REACH Magazine.

Blood donation requirements: Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past CBC donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card. Donors must be at least 16 years of age (16 years old with parental consent: form available at www.givingblood.org or at CBC branch & blood drive locations), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.
