Summer Reading for All Ages

The Greenville Public Library is offering three summer reading programs – for Children, Teens, and Adults. Each one is fun and easy to participate in and great prizes are available. The whole family can stop by the Library and get started reading!

“Dig Reading” for Children ages 10 and under: Sign up at the Circulation Desk; request a Reading Sheet; read at least 20 minutes a day for at least 5 days; put a sticker on your Reading Sheet for each day; each week bring your Reading Sheet to the Desk to have it stamped and to pick out a prize. Turn in your Reading Sheet before July 27 for the grand prize drawing!

“Beneath the Surface” for Teens (YA) ages 11 to 18: Read a book; fill out a book review (forms at Desk); return book reviews to be entered to win weekly prizes. Five YA events are also scheduled. The first is a Drawing Workshop with local artist Paul Ackley on June 11 at 4:00 p.m. It's free and all materials are provided!

“Groundbreaking Reads” for Adults 18 to 108: Read or listen to any book, CD book, or ebook checked out from GPL; fill out and turn in an entry form; win weekly prizes such as hanging flower baskets, movie passes, restaurant gift cards. All entries will be in the Grand Prize drawing. Program is from July 17 to July 26.
