State Representative Richard Adams (R-Troy) today announced the State Controlling Board’s release of $32,500 for a parking lot expansion project at Edison State Community College.
According to documents from the Office of Budget and Management, the project will expand two parking lots at the college, adding approximately 110 net new parking spaces in order to relieve the ongoing parking issues at the college. The project is needed to provide convenient parking at the high traffic areas of the campus.
“It’s clear that Edison Community College is continuing to provide quality instruction, as evidenced by the need for more parking spaces for students, faculty, and visitors to the campus,” said Rep. Adams.
Specifically, the expansion projects will provide more convenient access to the West Hall main entrance, the Emerson Center main entrance, the Emerson Center North Entrance and the North Hall Main Entrance.
