Greenville Man Airlifted After Golf Cart Crash

On September 16, 2013 at approximately 2:38 PM Darke County Deputies along with Gettysburg Fire, Greenville Township Rescue and CareFlight were dispatched to Turtle Creek Golf course in reference to a rollover injury accident involving a golf cart. 

 

Preliminary investigation revealed Wayne Chinn, 32, Bradford, Ohio was driving an Ez-Go golf cart from the tenth tee box.  Chinn and his passenger, Chad J. Feirstine, 27, Greenville, Ohiodrove off the cart path towards the end of the tee box.  Chinn unaware of the extreme drop at the end of the tee box drove the golf cart over the edge.  Chinn exited the golf cart, Feirstine remained in the golf cart until he was ejected halfway down the embankment.  The golf cart over turned and came to rest in a water way next to Feirstine.    

                 

Chad J. Feirstine was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight with serious injuries.

       

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
