On September 13, 2013 at 4:06 am Darke County 911 received a call reference a vehicle into a house at 5437 Hollansburg Arcanum Road. Darke County Deputies along with Arcanum Rescue, Arcanum Fire, New Madison Fire and Greenville Fire were all dispatched to the scene.
Preliminary investigation shows that a 1997 Chevrolet Malibu, operated by Catherine Simpson(19) of Arcanum, was traveling east and traveled off the south side of the roadway, crashing into the house.
The driver was transported to Wayne Hospital by Arcanum Rescue with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger, Braeden Lewis, and all members of the household were uninjured.
The exact cause of the accident is unknown and remains under investigation.
