Driver Fails to Stop, Collides with a Truck at 127 and 36

On January 5, 2015 at approximately 5:24 PM Darke County Deputies along with New Madison Fire and Tri Village Rescue were dispatched to the intersection of US Route 36 W and SR 121 reference a two vehicle injury accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed a grey 1984 Toyota pickup truck, driven by Marlin Bowman of Versailles, was traveling west on US Route 36 W. Bowman failed to stop at the intersection and traveled into the path of a northbound black 1978 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Robert Kiser of Greenville.

Bowman was transported to Wayne Healthcare by Tri Village Rescue with minor injuries. Kiser was treated by Tri Village Rescue and released from the scene.

Bowman was cited for Failure to Yield the right of way.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
