Frog Fever at May Park P.A.L.S.

Due to the western chorus frog’s nocturnal and secretive nature,
these frogs are not commonly seen. The best time to see them is on warm nights
when they come out to call.

Darke County Park District invites children in kindergarten through 2nd grade to join them on May 21st from 9:30am to noon to discover all things frogs during Park P.A.L.S! This month everyone will meet at the Nature Center on St. Rt. 502 west of Greenville to see what’s hopping in the wetlands and search for all stages of the frog lifecycle in the park. Students will earn what species live locally and what they can do to keep these critical creatures from disappearing. Remember to dress for getting wet.

Park P.A.L.S. is a series of monthly programs designed for students of this age group who are interested in nature. P.A.L.S. stands for Practicing And Learning Stewardship, and its mission is to develop future earth stewards through meaningful educational opportunities and hands-on experiences in the natural world. A fee of $3 is charged for the program, and preregistration is required.
