On April 28, students from the Tri-Village FFA participated in the Ohio FFA General Livestock Judging contest. The team members are Brenden Durst, Jared Godown, Brittany Brewer, and Jonathon Crawford. For this career development event, team members were tasked with evaluating a class of pigs, a class of sheep, and a class of beef cattle and then give oral reasons to judges to defend their placing of the livestock. The team qualified for the finals contest by placing 8th in Ohio after the preliminary round in May. After the final round, Tri-Village moved up two spots into 6th, qualifying them to compete on the national level! These four individuals will travel to North Carolina State Universities Beef Research Unit in Raleigh, North Carolina in October to compete in the Southeast Regional Livestock Contest.
Tri-Village FFA is a satellite program of Miami Valley Career Technology Center.
