Bob Robinson to run for commissioner?

This website had a story a few weeks ago that Daily Advocate "editor emeritus" Bob Robinson was thinking about running for commissioner. The basis of that story was information received from multiple credible sources. And now today there is even more independent information on this topic. But yet the local paper itself has reported nothing.

So what gives? Does the Advocate report only the news that it wants to report. Or - more cynically - maybe they'll publish scoops on other people, but not for one of their own (at least until he's ready).

Now the information could be wrong, and maybe Robinson doesn't intend to run for commissioner. But if he eventually does, the question will need to be asked: Why did the Advocate not cover this story, even after being tipped by this website.

Tick, tock. Go get that story Advocate before some start-up website beats you to it.

  1. The DarkeJournal and DarkeBlog are interesting and provocative. But, what I find so disconcerting is that every story, blog, announcement, etc.has to be so mysterious and anonymously submitted.

Do you want us readers to know or NOT know?

You're right, so why didn't you use your name on this comment?

  3. NEWSPAPERS generally don’t report on rumors and save rhetoric for their opinion page. However, they could at least cover it on their new fancy blog that they keep promoting.

  4. This “blog” is a nice effort. However, I wouldn't get too full of yourself. The "visits" are probably some type of spider or web crawler that tracks hits from key word matches all across the web such as when the term "Darke County" is mentioned. This would allow them to track information shared on topics of interest. It might also leave a footprint from their server.

Maybe you should call them or send a message to them on their own blog...just to be sure????
