For this exciting new event, Brethren Retirement Community is collaborating with another large non-profit organization in our community, The YMCA of Darke County.
YOU'VE BEEN CHALLENGED!!!!
Do you and a partner have what it takes to be crowned Darke County's 2009 Backyard Olympics Corporate Challenge Champion? Are you looking for a wonderful way to increase camaraderie at your company and have fun for a great cause? The Corporate Challenge at the 2009 Backyard Olympics is just the thing!
It requires well-honed skills, boundless stamina, and a big heart. It doesn't take a chiseled frame or extreme stamina to claim this prestigious title, just a playful spirit and a love of quirky games, odd skills and backyard savvy, all performed for a great cause. Grab a co-worker or a member of your management staff to form a team or several teams and compete for the Corporate Cup and Cash Prizes (Paid in Chamber Dollars). The energetic opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at noon with the friendly competition to follow. Think fun, think zany, think competition, think non-traditional "sports", and lots of laughs while raising awareness and money for two great causes and promoting your business at the same time! Once you have recruited your two person teams, you can either sign up via online registration or by printing and mailing the registration form from www.bhrc.org.
Once you have registered, feel free to send me a list of those who you would like to challenge during this fun-filled afternoon of friendly competition. I would be happy to send them a challenge email!!!!!
Proceeds will benefit both Brethren Retirement Community Resident Aid Fund and The YMCA of Darke County Scholarship Fund. Entry Fee of $200 includes:
- A team in the Corporate Challenge
- 2 tickets to the Friday night BRC gala Charity Auction & Dinner on Sept. 11 ($80 Value)
- Corporate name on back of event t-shirts
- 2 event t-shirts
- 2 K of C chicken dinners
- A business card size “ad” in the gala program book
... All this AND a chance to win the Corporate Cup for the Best Corporate Backyard Olympic Team!
