Photos from the Lady Wave basketball camp
33 girls going into grades 5 through 8 participated in the camp (which continues through Thursday), and were coached by Head Coach Rachel Kerns and Assistant Coach Laura Swigart, along with the high school girl basketball players (Freshman, Reserve and Varsity). This camp is open to other school players, and 7 are from Union City . The others are all from Greenville . The camp is broken into 5 stations of training: defense, agility, ball handling, passing, and rebounding. Also included in the camp are development of shooting form, dribbling, 3 on 3 games, and hot shots. The 2 hour camp workout is followed by a second camp for younger girl basketball hopefuls. This camp had 12 participants of girls entering grades 2 through 4. Both camps are pictured here, with all participants, along with the coaches and high school player/coaches.

Looks like the girls are starting to build a program....finally! something that the Lady Wave has missed dearly since Peltz left. I sure hope that the fans will start looking at the progress and positives that a "team approach" makes and not focus on individuals who look to promote themselves. Thanks DB, i appreciate your donation of time and skills taking the pictures.
