Darke County Photography Club hosts John Beals at April Meeting

On April 19, 2011, the Darke County Photography Club held their April meeting at Shawnee Prairie Nature Center. We would like to thank John Beals of Ridgeville, Indiana, for judging and critiquing our photographs during our quarterly feedback session. The theme for our April feedback session was Windows and Glass. Mr. Beals gave many helpful comments on the many great photographs that were submitted.

Our next meeting will be on May 17, 2011, at 7:00PM at the Shawnee Prairie Nature Center. Member Kathy Quinn will give a presentation on photo printing websites. The theme for May’s feedback session is Shallow Depth of Field. Each member can enter one photograph in the monthly feedback session.

The Darke County Photography Club is open to anyone from students to adults interested in learning about photography in any of its forms. Anyone who enjoys taking pictures and making new friends should give our club a try. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at Shawnee Prairie Nature Center, located at 4267 State Route 502 in Greenville at 7:00PM. For more information, visit our website at www.darkecountyphotoclub.com or check out our Facebook page.

Editor's Note: Mr. Beals selected four of his favorite photos taken by group members in two categories (Windows & Glass and an Open Division) that will appear on Darke Journal today through this weekend. Check back to see them as they are quite stunning.
