Police Requesting Information from the Public
On September 4, 2013 at approximately 8:20 a.m., the Greenville Police Department and Darke County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Darke County Y.M.C.A., 301 Wagner Ave. on a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, it was learned the victim, a 73 year old female, was sitting in her unlocked vehicle when an unknown suspect entered the vehicle and assaulted the victim prior to stealing a wallet from inside the vehicle. The unknown suspect then exited the vehicle and left the area.
The victim was transported to Wayne Hospital by Greenville Area Rescue.
A person of interest was located inside the Y.M.C.A. and detained for questioning.
