On December 5, 2015 at 10:14 PM Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Rescue and Greenville Twp. Fire Dept. were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 571 and Daly Road reference a one vehicle accident with a vehicle into a tree.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Dustin Kolb, 27, of Greenville was traveling northbound on Daly Road when he failed to stop at the T intersection and drove across State Route 571, into a yard, and struck a tree. Careflight was requested to the scene but was unable to fly due to the heavy fog. Dustin, along with his brother, Dexter Kolb, 29, of Greenville, who was a front seat passenger, were transported to Wayne Healthcare by Greenville Rescue. Dustin and Dexter were later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash. This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's office.
