Fort GreeneVille Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution Sponsors Vietnam War Veterans Display

Fort GreeneVille Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, a 50th Anniversary Vietnam War Commemoration Commemorative Partner, is sponsoring a Vietnam War Veterans display at the Greenville Library the month of February. The display has been made possible with the assistance of Vietnam War Veterans Richard Grow of Ansonia and Douglas Black of Greenville.

Richard Grow Jr. was a US Navy 2nd Class Petty Officer, E-5 Boiler Technician from 1970 to 1974 on ships Parsons and USS Rowan.

Douglas Black was a US Army Staff Sargent, E-6 from 1965 to 1967 and his Vietnam tour was 1966 to 1967. He was in the 196th Light Infantry Brigade C/Company. Douglas received the Bronze Star Valor and inducted in the Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor.

Fort GreeneVille DAR would like to invite the public to visit the library's display cabinet in honor of our local Vietnam Veterans.
