Who are State of the Heart Volunteers?

State of the Heart volunteers are people from our community; men and women, young and old, college students and retirees, from all walks of life. They do share a common bond- an unselfish desire to give of their time to improve the end-of-life-experience of individuals and their loved ones dealing with a life-limiting illness. No medial training or medical background is necessary. State of the Heart is offering a new volunteer training on Monday, March 28th at the Darke Office from 8am-4pm. Lunch is included.

Please contact Christena Subler at csubler@stateoftheheartcare.org or call at 937.548.2999 for more information or to register. Some of our immediate volunteer needs include: Patient Volunteers, Life Review Assistant, Pet Therapy, Maintenance Assistant, Transportation Assistant and Massage Therapy.
