Ansonia's Whistle Stop to Host Benefit for the Family of Josh Wilkin

Josh Wilkin, who spent most of his childhood in Ansonia and was a dear friend to many people in the area (including me), passed away very suddenly on Monday, leaving behind a fiancé and two children who now are in need of help to deal with the financial realities this tragedy has created while they navigate the heartbreak and loss they are undoubtedly immersed in.

Two of Josh's friends and Ansonia Alumni Adam Riffle and Matt Brewer, in conjunction with The Whistle Stop in Ansonia, are hosting a benefit this Saturday evening, November 5th at the Whistle.

The Whistle will be donating $0.50 of every beer sold to the family, there will be a 50/50 raffle, items will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to the family, as well as donation jugs on the bar. One of the auction items will be a golf outing to the PGA tour golf course Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH.

Whether you knew Josh and his infectious sense of humor and innate kindness or not, join us at the Whistle at 8pm to share in an evening of fun and camaraderie in his memory.

If you can't attend Saturday but would still like to help, please consider giving to a GoFundMe setup for his family by clicking here.
