Road construction continues in Arcanum
We took some heat before for pointing out some construction going on in Arcanum, but it really is a striking sight to go through town. Main Street is a wreck - as a quarter-mile section in front of the high school is completely closed. The detour will take you past the high-end subdivision behind Sutton's, where you have homeowners watering their lawns right next to orange construction cones. And that's not even counting the sewer work which has yards and roads dug up through a lot of the town.

Not pretty is an understatement. The detour is inconvenient, as well. Also, the construction company building the new school is under a very rigid contract to have it ready for the 2010-2011 school year and they aren't making much progress from what I can tell. Better get a move on.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the streets from the sewer work they did a few years back? Go down south main street or George street. It's as bad as driving down a pot hole filled dirt road. The town is a mess and falling apart at the seams.
