Grief Support Classes Offered

EUM Church and Storch Braund Funeral Home are partnering together to offer GriefShare, ™ a nationally known grief support curriculum. Eric Fee, owner of Storch Braund Funeral Home, will be the facilitator of the group and has over 15 years experience in bereavement. “Grief is a horrible feeling, and when you are going through it, you feel as though it may last forever. Grief support groups offer a safe and confidential place for people to share their hurt and struggles over the loss of a loved one. One of the greatest benefits is knowing you are not alone in your struggles.” states Fee. Classes begin on Thursday, September 17th from 6:30-8:00 PM in Suite 201 at The Palace (located right above Broadway Joes) in Greenville.

Each week your GriefShare™ group will watch a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies, dramatic reenactments and on-location video. After viewing the video, you and the other group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in your lives. You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each is “self-contained,” so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin.

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. Grief support helps you face the challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.

“It doesn’t matter what type of loss you’ve encountered or when it has affected your life. If you are struggling, don’t struggle alone. I encourage you to get information to spur your healing and find some support to help you navigate through your hurt” affirms Fee. For more information please call Eric at Storch Braund at 996-1051. Registration is appreciated, but not required.
