Clayton, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Adult Education is offering a new program for adult learners, Central Services Technology (CST). This new class is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a Central Service Processing Technician in the healthcare field.
A Central Service Processing Technician’s job would include cleaning/decontaminating supplies & equipment, cleaning/caring for equipment, and packaging/sterilization of instruments, etc. A student successfully completing this course may sit for the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) exam.
The CST program is an eleven-week program that will be held in the new MVCTC Adult Education building on the Hoke Road campus in Clayton. Classes will begin on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 and be every Tuesday, 6-8:30 p.m. and every Thursday, 6-8 p.m. The class costs $455.00 and requires students to first complete the MVCTC Adult Education enrollment process, Work Keys Assessment, and have required Immunizations. MVCTC Adult Education does have financial aid opportunities available for those that qualify.
