Brethren Retirement Community is still accepting applications for the 16th Annual Greenville Arts & Crafts Autumnfest scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Darke County Fairgrounds, 800 Sweitzer Street, Greenville, Ohio. As in the past years, the Coliseum and Youth Building will be filled with handmade items by the area’s finest artists and craftsmen and by shoppers anxious to purchase their items. This year Mike James will be doing the lunch concession stand.
This event is a fundraiser to benefit the Brethren Retirement Community’s Resident Aid Fund. The Resident Aid Fund provides financial assistance for residents who have exhausted their financial ability to cover the cost of their care through no fault of their own. Last year, Brethren Retirement Community, as part of their mission, contributed over $ 2.9 million in uncompensated care to these residents. As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, Brethren Retirement Community, continues to absorb this expense and has never asked a resident to leave due to their inability to pay.
For more information, or to obtain an application for booth space, please contact Jan Teaford, Development Director, 937-547-7628 or jan.teaford@bhrc.org. Volunteers warmly welcomed.
