UPDATE II: Public information available on miamivalleyjails.org indicates that Daniel Jay Cornett was arrested at 724 East Main Street, by the Greenville Police Department, at 11:31 p.m. last night on charges of Felonious Assault (which would be the appropriate charge for a stabbing). The website further indicates that Cornett remains in custody in the Darke County Jail pending an arraignment before the common pleas court.

It would appear that the arrest of Cornett is related to last night's reported stabbing, however this has not been confirmed. And as always - Cornett is presumed innocent of the charge of Felonious Assault currently filed against him.

UPDATE III: WHIO has more details, including the name of the victim: Matthew Cain, age 24.

  1. Since the attack was with kitchen cutlery, for his defense Cornett might be wise to employ an eminent local attorney who has a proven track record in thwarting criminality for this type of assault.

  2. I'm almost certain a local judge was involved in something similar to this, involving kitchen cutlery, not too long ago but nothing of this exposure nor charge were ever involved. Hmmmmm

  3. You might be a redneck if there is snow on the ground and you still have your air conditioner unit in the window. (Left side of picture, white house, second story window above porch) Looking good Greenville !!!!!
