Stegall asks your support for Commissioner

Dear Fellow Citizen,

I’m Mike Stegall and I would appreciate your support. Electing me as Darke County Commissioner is the first step toward changing the dynamic of our county. I am a leader and am willing to make tough decisions that will change the direction in which Darke County is headed. High unemployment rates, business cut backs and closures, as well as new businesses locating in other counties are main concerns. I have thought long and hard about these hot topics and I have a plan to help Darke County create a better future.

1) BE FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE! We cannot spend more money than we generate. As an elected official, I understand that our revenue is your money; not the government’s. I pledge to spend it wisely.

2) ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COLLABORATION! The factions involved in economic development and job retention and creation must act as a team. We must create a solid, unified front to entice prospective businesses to enter Darke County. We must also use this same unity to foster the businesses already located here. My goal is to get all divisions moving in the same direction.

3) FIX WHAT NEEDS FIXING! Do not put things off and let the next group of leaders deal with it. I will take responsibility and take action.

My wife, Rosemary, and I have been married for 34 years. We reside on State Route 36 just outside of the Greenville City limits. As a life-long resident of Darke County, a small business owner and a current Greenville Township Trustee, I have a vested interest in the maintenance and growth of our county. The problems at hand can be overcome. With your support, we can do this together!
