48th Annual Home and Sports Show - this weekend

On March 26th, 27th and the 28th, the Darke County Sheriff’s Patrol will hold their 48th annual Home and Sports Show. The Show will take place at the Darke County Fairgrounds in the Youth Building and in to the Coliseum.

The Sheriff’s Patrol is the non profit auxiliary of the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Patrol consist of approximately 25 members who work thousands of combined hours annually at events such as ball games, school events and other special events in the community. The events worked by members of the patrol cost no money to the tax payers of Darke County . The proceeds from the home and sports show help the patrol purchase cruisers, radios, fuel for the cruisers and many other items required to provide law enforcement services to Darke County . This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Sheriff’s Patrol.

Several events are planned for this years show. Highlights of the show include music by Adelee on Friday Evening from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM, a blood drive on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM, a corn hole tournament Saturday at 11:00 AM and a children’s tractor pull Sunday at 2:00 PM with registration beginning at 11:00 AM.

The show’s hours will be Friday from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Admission to the Home and Sports show is free to all those wishing to attend. The show consists will consist of vendors featuring landscape ideas, home improvement ideas, household items, sporting goods and accessories and many other items The Sheriff’s Patrol also offers plenty of good food in their kitchen located in the Youth Building . There will be door prize drawings at the end of the show.
