Two new contests at the Annie Oakley Festival

Annie Oakley Festival Committee has approved two new contests for you to enter. You can check them out on the web site, under the forms page.

Design A T-Shirt Contest

Participant requirements are as follows: Eligibility: Grades 7th-12th for the 2009-2010 year; Fee: FREE to enter; Deadline: Will be limited to 1 entry per student. Entry selected on a first received basis from postmarked entries - ONLY POSTMARKED ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED; Notifications: Entry will be notified of their eligibility to be judged by May 20, 2010 by mail. Winner will be notified by June 1, 2010 by mail; Design will be judged on: 1) Originality of Design, 2) Appropriate to Annie Oakley Theme; Rules: Size of design must be no larger than 8 x 10, no smaller than 4 x 6. Only 2 colors used. No copied work permitted. No dates on design; Winner will experience the process in designing and printing the winning t-shirt in the factory in which it wil be produced. Little Miss Annie Oakley and Buffalo Bill Contest

The Little Miss Annie Oakley and Buffalo Bill Contest will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Darke County Fairgrounds in the Gazebo. Participant requirements are as follows: Eligibility: Between the ages of 4-6 as of the 21st of July 2010; Fee: $5.00; Deadline: Contestants will be limited to 25 entries. Entries selected on a first received basis from postmarked entries. Only Postmarked entries will be accepted. Age will be the determining factor if more than the allotted entries are received on the same day. Those unable to participate in the next years contest due to age limit will have preference; Notification: Contestants will be notified of their eligibility to complete by June 1st; Contestants will be judged on; Attire: 1) Originality of Design 25%, 2) Appropriate to Annie Oakley & Buffalo Bill/ Theme 25%, 3) Personality, Poise and Ability to Speak 50%; Attire for girls should represent Annie Oakley in period time; Attire for boys should represent Buffalo Bill in period times; Entry Form must be postmarked before May 1, 2010, Entries after this date will not be accepted. You can print the entry form from the web site and put it in the mail, but you must hurry. The deadline to enter is May 1.
