How to leave comments under a (real or fake) name

Several people have asked how to leave comments under a name (real or fake). The confusion is because the appropriate comment option reads "Name/URL," and some people have concluded that they can't use this option because they don't have a URL. This is not the case - you can fill in the "Name" box only, while leaving the "URL" box empty.

So ... you can fill in a name only, and even if the name is fake this is preferable to using "Anonymous." It's hard to have a meaningful dialogue if everybody is named "Anonymous." Just pick a name.

On a related topic, it has been suggested that the "Anonymous" option be eliminated. However, the website program does not permit the elimination of "Anonymous."
