DEADLINE NEARING FOR KARLH MCCALLISTER MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The entry deadline is nearing for the first Karlh McCallister Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at the Greenville Golf Course. Proceeds benefit the Darke County College Access Program.

The golf outing will be four-person teams, in a regular best ball scramble format. There will be prizes for the winners, separate divisions based on number of entries, skill contests, raffles and more. Raffle prizes are being provided by many of our business partners and friends. Prizes include Electrolux wine cooler (value $1699), Serta queen bed, DVD player, Kitchenaid mixer, Reds tickets, OSU tickets, and more, plus you don’t have to be present to win. Tickets for the raffle will be available at the golf course the day of the event, and can also be purchased at Hansbarger Home Solutions in Greenville. The event is being combined with the golf course’s Steak and Corn Roast Luau. While the dinner is optional, organizers hope golfers will consider staying for a great meal combined with music and entertainment.

The entry fee is $70 per golfer and the entry deadline for golfers is July 16.

Hole sponsorships, as well as corporate sponsorships are being accepted. If you are unable to join us, any donation would be appreciated.

The tournament is named in memory of Greenville resident and businessman Karlh McCallister who helped form the Darke County College Access Program (DCCAP) in 2006. DCCAP helps many local high school students go to college through one-on-one mentoring, educational programs, and needs-based scholarships.

Those interested in registering a team, playing as an individual, sponsoring a hole, purchasing a raffle ticket, or just wanting to make a donation for the event may contact Mike Barker at (937) 423-1924 or email mike.barker@hansbargerhomesolutions.com.

Please join us for a fun filled day and support a worthy cause.
