Speaker Announced for Annie Oakley Tournament

The 29th annual Annie Oakley Golf Tournament is fast approaching. Monday, July 19th, at 12:30 pm, 100 golfers will tee off in what is one of the biggest fields of golfers in this tournament’s history. Over the past 27 years the Annie Oakley Golf Tournament has raised and donated approximately $432,000.00 to help cancer patients in their struggle against their dreaded illness. This year’s tournament promises to be another success with a full field of golfers.

All golfers and their guests are invited to attend the banquet beginning at 6:30 the evening of the tournament. The banquet is held in the Greenville Country Club dining room. In addition to a fine dinner, the evening’s activities will include the announcing of the golf gross and net winners. There will also be a raffle for the basket of cheer. Master of ceremonies will be James Buchy.

The special speaker for the banquet will be State Representative Jim Zehringer of the Seventy-Seventh District in the Ohio House of Representatives. State Representative Jim Zehringer participates in a number of community activities such as the National Federation of Independent Businesses, the Mercer County Farm Bureau, Ohio Proud, Ohio Aquaculture Association, and many more. Representative Zehringer has also been the recipient of many awards such as: the National and Ohio Environmental Stewardship Award, a member of the Fort Recovery Hall of Fame, the Ronald Regan Excellence in Government Award, and numerous other awards. The tournament committee is excited to welcome Representative Zehringer to its twenty-ninth annual Annie Oakley Golf Tournament to benefit the Cancer Association of Darke County.

Those interested in attending the Dinner Banquet to listen to Representative Zehringer may RSVP to Warren Richards at the Cancer Association of Darke County at 937-548-9960.
