Breast Cancer Awareness of Darke County Announces Survivor Celebration – Oct. 21st

BCADC is holding their first ever Survivor Celebration to celebrate those who have been effected by breast cancer. The Survivor Celebration is sponsored by Wayne HealthCare and will take place on October 21st, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. This celebration will include a light meal, prizes, games, and a chance to meet the people who are on the BCADC board. Survivors, friends, and family are welcome to attend the evening’s event. A “survivor” is defined by the National Cancer Survivor’s Day Foundation as anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life. Come celebrate life with us and enjoy a free evening of fun from Breast Cancer Awareness of Darke County!

Breast Cancer Awareness of Darke County is a non-profit branch of the Cancer Association of Darke County that focuses on serving those diagnosed with breast cancer. BCADC was formed to assist women in the prevention, early-detection, and treatment of breast cancer. Our organization does this by covering the cost of mammograms and pap tests for women who are underinsured or uninsured. The group also offers financial assistance to those who need special bras or prosthesis who have undergone a lumpectomy or mastectomy. For more information about BCADC or how to receive a test voucher, please call the Cancer Association of Darke County at 937.548.9960.
