Darke County Emergency Notification

Darke County Sheriff’s Office along with the Darke County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management would like to remind residents about the emergency notification system.

This system allows the Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management to mass notify the public of emergency and hazardous situations. The notification system uses the 911 database and includes all residential and business telephone numbers in the county. Residents may register their cell phones and email addresses if they wish.

The system will be used to notify Darke County residents of emergency situations, hazardous weather conditions and violent crimes that may require the public to shelter in place.

If you have any questions or would like more information concerning the new system please contact Brandon Redmond, 911 Coordinator at 937-547-3911.

To register your email address and/or cell phone number(s) visit www.darkecountysheriff.org or www.darkecountyema.org. You do not need to register your home telephone number.

Please note, notifications may be made at any time of the day or night if warranted. If you choose not to receive these messages you may opt out of the program by visiting the above websites and going through the registration process.

Find both the Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management on Facebook.
