St. Marys Walk With Nature / Fall Festival - October 17th

The St. Marys Kiwanis and the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce along with the help of several other community partners invites everyone to enjoy the 41st Annual “Walk with Nature” on the Miami-Erie Canal Tow Path and the 2nd Annual “Fall Festival in Memorial Park”.

The “Walk with Nature” is a pleasant, level walk along the Tow Path of the Canal and can begin or end at several points. The length of the walk can be from 3 miles to as much as 18 miles. Buses are available for transport to and from starting and stopping points. The Tow Path extends north from St. Marys, Memorial Park to 40 acre pond and on to Lock 14 and also south from Memorial Park to State Route 219. Also, Grand Lake Health Systems invites you to get on the “Road to Fitness” and earn 10 points for the GLHS Fitness Challenge.

The “Fall Festival in Memorial Park” will feature: Entertainment at the Gazebo by the Famous Old Time Music Co.; Annual Chili Cook Off, with hot dogs and Beer tasting available; Fall Farmers Market – Baked goods – Crafts – Garden Produce; Youth Photography Exhibit at Arts Place on Spring St.; Youth Activities – Scarecrow Construction – Pumpkin Painting – Free scroll cut wood figures for painting – Corn Toss – Giant Pumpkin; Historical Exhibits and Demonstrations.

Registration for the “Walk with Nature” and “Road to Fitness” will be in Memorial Park in Downtown St. Marys. Fall Festival events will also be in Memorial Park and Arts Place at 138 E. Spring St.

The date of the “Walk with Nature” and “Fall Festival in the Park” is Sunday, October 17. The “Walk with Nature” will occur between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Chili Cook Off, Public Tasting will be from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm.
