Changes to the chat

Due to unacceptable commentary on the chat, you now must register a name in order to participate.

  1. You only post what you agree with and what politics you believe in. Another crackpot lawyer thinking he is doing something great

  3. A lawyer that knows some of us don't like to be misrepresented. I know there was no choice. I appreciate that I don't have to get on every night to make sure somebody didn't say something under my user name anymore :)

  5. How brave you post that anonymously. What a coward. You don't like it, you are free to leave this site and never come back, click the little X in the upper right corner. You won't be missed.

  6. This new requirement comes as no surprise to me - and I am hopeful that it will keep the chat from becoming a big "free-for-all". Personally, I have no problem registering and I intend to be forever known as "Alex B".

  8. If there's one thing I love, it's people complaining about anonymous posters while using only their initials. You're such paragons of virtue.

  9. I totally agree with BE! Most websites have guidelines, this site is no different. If you don't agree with them, build your own site or go somewhere else.

  12. I can see the change in rules for the chat. Although it may lead to be the case in time for comments also. If so, this will prove to me as politics taking over communities opinions of freedom of speech to shut people up and also make this site no better than the other local site. That would be a let down that made this site attractive from the beginning.
If some one had a real complaint and insisted on proving misleading information, every one has an IP address any way, and can be tracked. Their for any comments on the web anonymous or not only matters to thous who do not have the power to investigate comments.

  13. Agreed, anonymous is a cop-out, but locals that don't like dissenting comments are always going to point fingers at those who do -- sometimes discreetly. The blog lets people with dissenting opinions express themselves freely when the homeboys continue to operate the way they do -- with their snouts firmly planted in the public trough. It is what it is. Check out PERS and learn why the local politicians love those jobs!! Learning is good. Learning will explain a lot. Learning will make you shout even louder.
