GET INVOLVED-JOIN THE PTSA!

The deadline is nearing for anyone wishing to get involved in your students’ PTSA.

All applications must be turned in by November 30, 2010. The PTSA is the Parent-Teacher-Student Association of the Greenville Senior High School. We are a group of parents, students and school representatives who meet to discuss school-related concerns, plan activities and raise money to support students from GHS. Most notably, every year a scholarship is given to a graduating young man and young woman that is a member of the PTSA. We also contributed monies to help several seniors, who were making an effort to pay off their fees, so they could graduate with their class. The PTSA just completed their first fundraiser with over 100 pies being sold from the Pie Peddler, and another pie sale will be held in the Spring. Additionally the annual Spaghetti Dinner will be held in conjunction with the Waves of Pride in the Spring.

PTSA members meet on the second Monday of each month of school at 6 pm in the Senior High Media Center. Cost to join is $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for students, with a portion of the fee going to The Ohio PTA. Parents and students are encouraged to get involved in this worthwhile organization. Contact Treva Riffle at 548-1185 or Teresa Ramge at 564-6799 for more information.
