Zehringer to become Chair of the Agriculture Committee?

Jim Zehringer was re-elected (unopposed) as representative of the 77th Ohio House District Tuesday, and at the same time his party also took back the majority in the state house.

Zehringer is currently the ranking minority member of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.

The ranking member usually becomes chair if his party becomes the majority party, which means that Zehringer will very likely become Ag Chair when the legislators begin their work in 2011.

For good measure, Darke County's other representative Dick Adams is second in seniority among the Republicans and could be the new Vice Chair.
