How to set up a Google Account & Profile

You now need a Google Account (or other host) to leave comments on DarkeJournal. Here is a simple tutorial ...

1. You first need to go to this link: https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLoginAuth ... and click on "Create an account now" as shown below ...

2. Next you will go to a page with a heading reading "Google Accounts" and a sub-heading "Create an Account." You will have to fill in an email address and pick a password. You probably will want to uncheck all the boxes. Fill in your birthday, do a word verification, and click "I accept. Create my account."

3. Next you will have to find "Create your profile" or "My profile" and you will see a screen like the one below. Fill in the boxes for "First name" and "Last name" to create your screen name. This is the name that will appear next to your DarkeJournal comments. [Again, there is other information you can fill out, and it is advisable to uncheck all those boxes]

If you completed those steps, you now have a Google Account and Profile. Enter your comments as usual after logging in with your new account info.
