Level 1 (2/11/11 at 9:30pm) ... cancelled at noon on 2/12/11

A Level 1 Snow Emergency has been issued for Darke County due to blowing and drifting that is occurring, particularly on East/West roadways.

Darke County Sheriff Toby L. Spencer has issued a Level 1 Snow Emergency for Darke County . Road conditions across the county are hazardous due to blowing and drifting snow. Motorists should use extreme caution while traveling.

This Level 1 Snow Emergency takes effect immediately at 9:30 PM. Update: Level 1 cancelled effective noon on 2/12/11.

    Drove home from work this morning and St Rt 47 between Darke-Shelby line and Newport was horrible. I about got stuck twice. Hope the plows are out soon.
