Heartland of Greenville invites volunteers to serve as personal shopping assistants

Do you live to shop? Do you love helping others find a great bargain?

Heartland of Greenville invites volunteers to serve as personal shopping assistants for older adults. Volunteers will join residents on outings and push wheelchairs for clients as they shop, assist with grocery carts, reach items from shelves and more. Volunteers should be at least 18 years old and enjoy helping others. Shopping trips are scheduled monthly, and a flexible schedule is available.

The help provided by volunteers will help Heartland residents gain greater self-esteem and greater independence. “Volunteering at Heartland lifts the spirit by showing our residents love and respect,” says Rosemary Nelson, Volunteer Coordinator.
