The Members of "The Darke County Friends of the Shelter" accepted a donation from 10 year old Grace Carmen and her brother Jake. Because of her love for animals, Grace took it upon herself to raise money for the animals at the Darke County Animal Shelter. To raise money, Grace set up a lemonade stand this summer. She also contacted family, friends and neighbors and they made donations for her cause.
Grace was excited to visit the Animal Shelter and said it was "The Best Day of Her Life!". She was excited that her donation would help the animals. She hopes to visit the shelter again soon. "The Darke County Friends of the Shelter" would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to Carmen Grace and her family!! Carmen is a very special 10 Year old with a Big heart! Thank You!!
