DCP Weekly Hikes

The Darke County Parks offers weekly hikes for you to enjoy! Every Tuesday morning at 8am, there is an Early Morning Discovery Hike. These hikes focus on bird watching, trees, fungi, wildflower ID and more. Bring some binoculars or borrow a pair from us. Dress for the weather as the hikes will take place in all weather conditions. Every Friday afternoon at 2pm, April through September, there will be a Butterfly Monitoring hike. If you enjoy watching butterflies and would like to assist in scientific data collection, come join us. Both hikes will meet at the Nature Center at Shawnee Prairie Preserve.
