Free Run/Walk Clinic on May 26

Dr. Robb Maher will be conducting a free clinic on May 26 at 6:00. The event will be held at the high school track. The clinic is associated with the Breast Cancer Awareness 5k (BCA 5k)Training Program, but open to anyone and is free of charge. Dr. Maher is a partner in Western Ohio Podiatric Medical Center, Inc. and is a very accomplished athlete. Not only has he participated in several marathons and ultramarathons, but also he is an experienced triathlon athlete completing the grueling Ironman several times. Past participants have found this event very helpful in preventing injuries and correcting fundamental flaws in their form. Simple adjustments in technics can make exercising safer and much more enjoyable. Please come dressed for activity because there will be ample opportunity for you to try out the new techniques.

This session is a prelude to the BCA 5k. The committee is once again offering an eight week training program to anyone, regardless of experience or ability, who may want to complete the 3.1 mile run/walk being held July 30. There is still time to register for either the training or the race.

Anyone interested in the clinic, the training, or the race should go to www.bca5k.org. Registrations for both the race and the training will also be available at the clinic. The committee would also like to recognize Rocketship Sports for sponsoring the event and hosting our website.
