Greenville Student Council Donates To State of the Heart Hospice Gift for Eleventh Annual Camp BEARable July 22-24

The Student Council of Greenville High School recently donated $300 to State of the Heart Hospice. The gift will go to the agency’s eleventh annual Camp BEARable which will be held July 22-24 at the Spiritual Center at Maria Stein. Carol Paul, student council advisor, said that the funds came from a variety of fund raisers held throughout the year. Gifts went to other charitable purposes, she said.

Camp BEARable is for young people, ages six through 15, who have lost a loved one. Those attending enjoy a mix of fun and games along with serious dialogue about their grief. The camp is free and is open to any youth dealing with grief. There need be no association with hospice. For more information on the camp, call Camp Director Marlene Black at 548-2999. State of the Heart provides care to families and patients in eastern Indiana and western Ohio who are confronting a life limiting illness.
