Hail Northwest of Greenville from Last Night's Storm (Submitted by MK)
Darke Journal reader MK sent in the following pictures of hail that fell last evening. Anyone else have photos? So far, we haven't heard of any damage. Did everyone's windshields and windows make it out ok?
No serious damage out our way (near Covington) However, our power went at at 10 PM. We took a portable radio upstairs to listen to WHIO TV weather being broadcast on the radio. For the first time ever my husband & I went to bed fully dressed--jeans, t-shirts & socks, in case we had to make a dash for the basement. We dozed awhile between storms & then listened to the radio as the next wave of bad weather hit us around 1 AM. It was a scary evening, but as I was drinking my morning coffee today with a solid roof over my head, I couldn't help but think of the people in Joplin, Missouri. We are very lucky & are counting our blessings!
