The Greenville Lady Wave Softball team won the Sectional title Thursday evening at the Tipp City ball park, 18-0, over Stivers (9-4 record). The Wave is now 25-5, and will play the District finals Saturday at West Carrollton High School at either 11:00 AM or 3:00 PM. The Wave scored 10 runs in the first inning of a game shortened to 5 innings, with the big blow being a grand slam home run by Wave catcher Paige Wolter. Ashley Hanes and Madison Shuret combind for the shut-out victory. The next game will be against either state power Tipp City or Clark Northwestern, who play Friday after some rain postponements.
