Local Senior Community Accept Donation on Behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association

On Tuesday, May 10, 2011 Sterling House Greenville, a Brookdale Senior Living assisted living community, and Clare Bridge Greenville, a Brookdale Senior Living Alzheimer’s and dementia care community, celebrated local Senior Citizens with an event co-sponsored by Greenville High School Student Council.

The Greenville High School student council presented a $250 donation to Sterling House & Clare Bridge of Greenville on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association. This donation took place during the 2nd Annual Senior Citizens Luncheon which was co-sponsored by Greenville High School, Spirit Transport & Sterling House Clare Bridge, Greenville.

Sterling House & Clare Bridge Executive Director, Bryan Davenport, said, “We enjoy partnering with the local school and businesses to build a sense of community. This event gave us an opportunity to celebrate our local senior citizens.” He went on to say, “We provided a great meal for the attendees and the Greenville High School students provided exceptional entertainment. The day was then topped off by a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.”

The donation will be added to the Sterling House & Clare Bridge fundraising efforts for the 2011 Darke County Walk to end Alzheimer’s which is held on October 2, 2011 in Greenville.
