Arcanum Library celebrates 100 years

A big crowd of supporters attended Arcanum Library's 100th anniversary celebration Sunday afternoon. Randy O'Dell, president of the Board of Trustees, welcomed those in attendance. State Representative Dick Adams and State Senator Bill Beagle presented a legislative proclomation honoring the library's 100 years. JoAnne Hill of the Criterion Club gave an early history of the library, and former Board Member Phil Garbig (pictured below) provided remarks about funding and the later history of the library. Director Marilyn Walden and current Board Member Paul Myers concluded the program. Staff, current board members, the Criterion Club, Arcanum's historian, and several public officials were also recognized. The library is online at arcanumpubliclibrary.org.
