Fire on the 400 Block of E 4th Street in Greenville

Greenville City Fire put out an apparent house fire on the 400 block of East 4th St in Greenville. Here's a quick video we managed to get while trying to stay out of the way of the folks actually fighting the fire. Check back for more info and photos/video as we get it.

If you have any info (looking at you scanner listeners), email it to darkejournal@gmail.com

We've added a couple of photos of the house post fire after the break...

  3. Not even worth posting? What kind of messed up comment is that? A family lost their home and lifelong momentos! So keep your rude heartless comments to yourself!

  4. I know this family and cannot believe that someone would say this wasn't worth posting...these people have worked hard all of their lives for what was lost. The comment at 4:43 p.m. was totally heartless and uncalled for. These are our neighbors in our community...remember that.

  5. i am part of that family...that was our family home and it is completely ruined and there is nothing that we can do about it years and years of memories and trinkets completly gone. pictures and things us kids and the grandchildren made are all gone and those things can never be replaced no matter how much we may wish that they could be. things my parents had worked all their lifes to build and make happen gone in a matter of minutes. maybe whoever you are should think before you go making comments like that becuase as the others said a family lost there home and everything that was in it.
