The Breast Cancer Awareness 5k Committee would like to remind everyone it is time once again to register for the run/walk that will be held on July 30 in downtown Greenville. The committee is working hard to make 2011 the best year ever. The hard work has paid off in the past and last year’s race had over 500 participants and netted over $12,000 for the Darke County Cancer Association. This year the goal is 700 runners.
The event starts and finishes in downtown Greenville and is one of the area’s best events for spectators. The course is one of the most diverse courses including a real finish area furnished by Rocketship Sports and professional timing by Speedy-Feet. Participants will not only get to run through downtown Greenville, but also get to run in the park and across the famous swinging bridge.
Once again, Dave Knapp Ford is donating a car that will be won by one lucky participant.
Whether this is your first or one-hundredth race, this race is for you. Log onto www.bca5k.org for information and registration or contact Coy Boroff at coyboroff@hotmail.com for more information. It will be a great time, but a better cause. So convince a friend or trick an enemy to join you and come run or walk with us on July 30.
