Main Street Greenville's First Fridays series kicked off tonight with several events along Broadway. Many downtown businesses kept their doors open well into the evening, some hosting sidewalk sales. Kitchenaid Experience held a healthy cooking class & demonstration on the sidewalk in front of their building, displaying how to make items such as Chipotle Bean Burgers, Organic Corn Relish and other great recipes.
The evening was capped off with the first Flick on Fifth, The Little Rascals. Approximately 150 people turned out to watch the film. Of course, DarkeJournal.com was there and gave away 3 of our new t shirts. Congrats to the winners! Look for more fun events and giveaways throughout the summer.
Main Street Greenville will host 2 more First Fridays events, including Flicks on Fifth this summer, with the next being July 1st. Watch for more details on the next event in the coming weeks.
The Little Rascals are still up to their old shenanigans. Many were laughing out loud. Nice way to spend a lazy summer evening with family and friends without leaving town or spending big money. We plan to attend again in July and August. Thank you to Main Street Greenville and all the sponsors!
